G'day. Our old upright radio and wind-up gramophone used to hum and crackle with music hall ditties, Australian colonial tunes, and pop and jazz classics from the '40s, '50's and '60's. Let's go back to those days ... while we swap stories, and have a good laugh or two.

Your Aged Care residents are a mixture, right? Some have limited or no movement. Some have fading memories. And of course others long for more stimulation. All will be entertained with singing (please join in!), harmonica and ukulele, with music through the ages, and from various parts of the world. But it's not just about music. We'll bond through shared experiences, and reflect on the richness and beauty of our lives.Oh yes. And we'll have a few laughs.
From the mid-1960s I was a journalist. I have a podcast, RED DUST TAPES, featuring interviews I recorded over 55 years ago, with fascinating Outback characters.I recommend introducing your Aged Care residents to Red Dust Tapes. I guarantee many of them will be enthralled by my conversationswith our pioneer aviators (including the founder of Qantas), old prospectors and cattlemen, Aboriginals, and intrepid inland women.Click here for more: WWW.REDUSTSTAPES.AU
